Get your Healthcare Information from the Source if you are a small business owner

There has been a lot of rhetoric/discussion/misinformation about the changes in the healthcare law passed in 2010. Champaign business owners will have the opportunity to speak directly with national healthcare represenatives to get questions answered with the facts.

Mark your calendars!

Time: Tuesday, October 18th at 6:30pm Location: Huntington Towers 201 W. Springfield, 1st floor conference room

Campaign for Better Health Care, the Illinois Black Chamber of Commerce, and Small Business Majority are holding a free informational listening session to help Illinois small business owners and self-employed entrepreneurs learn what the new healthcare law, the Affordable Care Act, means for small business.

A panel of experts will focus on both federal and state provisions to help local small businesses understand how the law will affect them.

Topics being discussed include:

  • Small business tax credits—who’s eligible for them and how to claim them
  • State Health Insurance Exchange
  • High-Risk Pools
  • Shared Responsibility
  • Cost Containment
  • Small Employer Wellness Programs
  • Tools and resources available for small businesses interested in learning more about the law.

A question and answer period will follow.

Speakers will include national and local small business and healthcare experts.

If you are like most people and confused about the changes, come to this seminar and get the facts.
