Evaluation of tax breaks' effectiveness

Thanks for posting the Crain's article. I have been writing about this topic for years as have other researhers. Not only from the perspective of effectiveness, bu also that the entities that use these incentives do not research whether there is a positive economic return rate. Maybe now that this has appeared in Crains more people will pay attention and ask hard questions as to the value to communities. One more time I recommend Greg Leroy's book, The Great American Jobs Scam.  http://www.greatamericanjobsscam.com/

CC LOCAL FOOD POLICY COUNCIL RESOLUTION PASSED 22 MARCH

For those who have been following the introduction of a Champaign County Local Food Policy Council resolution, the county board passed the resolution this evening.  Again you can read all of the information about this here   https://sites.google.com/site/p2district6/news/champaigncountylocalfoodpolicycouncil--draftproposal

You will be able to apply online via the county web site after this coming Tuesday. I encourage everyone to do so because of the excellent opportunity to be involved with enhancing local food production as economic development within the county.
