Firefly Grill

Whats so special about the Firefly Grill?  Everything!  The venue is reminiscent of the great roadhouse restaurants of the past.  The barn sided architecture, the wrap-a-round deck all accented with a peaceful koi pond.  Makes you feel like you are some place special-and you are!  The people working there seem to have a sense of pride in giving outstanding service and did I mention that the food is INCREDIBLE!  All I can say is that if you haven't been to the Firefly Grill in Effingham you are cheating yourself out of one of the most enjoyable dining experiences that our area offers.  

Kristie and Niall Campbell really have a thing going.  I would say that they are in love.  In love with life, in love with their community, in love with the restaurant and yes madly in love with each other.  This is a very special thing that happens only very rarely--like when lightning strikes.  Well lightning has struck right in the middle of the prairie cross roads of Effingham and when the smoke cleared there was this wonderful place called the Firefly Grill.  In their own words:

"Firefly Grill is a dream that became a journey. We are a modern roadhouse situated in America’s Heartland. Our approach to food is simple – source the best ingredients possible and stay out of their way. We like to know our food intimately – where and how it is grown, raised, foraged, fished or harvested. The fewer fingerprints and carbon footprints the better. That’s why we have our very own on-site garden and buy locally whenever we can.

Our menu is a showcase of our philosophy with an ever-changing selection of creations from Chef Niall. You can enjoy these offerings in our beautiful lakeside setting at a table in the heart of the dining room or perhaps outside on our dock when the weather permits."

Alpha-Care Health Professionals, LLC originally a branch office of Alpha Christian Registry founded in 1979 started as a local nurse staffing agency. The organization soon became a licensed and accredited regional provider of private duty home care, pediatric and adult skilled care and supplemental health care staffing.   In 2004, a local group of healthcare and business professionals acquired the agency and the company name changed to Alpha-Care Health Professionals, LLC. Since that time, Alpha-Care has experienced significant growth and currently has branch offices in Bloomington, Charleston, Danville and Decatur.
