General Posting Guidelines:

• Authors need permission to post articles on Halfway Interesting. 
• Authors should not select the "scheduled" publishing option unless they are authorized and scheduled to do so. 
• If a candidate for office is allowed to post on HI, other candidates running for the same office, regardless of party affiliation, will be allowed to post. 
• Authors should not post more than one Featured article in a 7 day period. 
• Discuss the topic, not the individual.
• Criticize the argument, not the individual. 
• Comments must be about the topic presented by the author in a post.
• Articles, posts, and comments should be respectful, constructive, and civil.
• Do not feed the trolls.
• If a topic has been recently covered in a featured article, submit a comment in that article instead of starting a new post.
• Duplicate articles may be deleted.   A post is considered a duplicate article if it is by the same author and/or covers the same topic/argument as another recent articles.   Typically, the contents and comments of the duplicate post will be transferred to the other related post.
• Do not directly promote a product, political candidate, event, organization, website, business, or service provider in an article, post, or comment, without prior authorization from Halfway Interesting editors.
• Editors reserve the right to remove a post or comment at any time for any reason.
